Coffee History
Arabica cultivation began in Costa Rica in the late eighteenth century. According to ICAFE's history, a small shipment to Panama in 1820 is among the early records of the country's coffee exports.
Regional Production
Even within Guanacaste, San Carlos, Sarapiquí, Nicoya and other subregions differ in altitude and geography. Costa Rican origin does not reduce these differences to a single aroma description.
Compare processing method and growing region together. Honey or Washed alone does not describe the whole cup character.
